Admission to the programme is based upon a competitive selection process that ensures the right mix of qualified participants for each class. We operate on a rolling application process, which means that we accept application files all year round.
Next application deadline for the 2024 intake:
31st January 2024
If you are considering applying for the Executive MBA programme, please note that you must fulfill the three minimum criteria below.
Admission is based on a competitive selection process that aims to ensure the right mix of qualified participants and a broad diversity of profiles for each class.
By submitting your application as soon as possible, you increase the probability of getting accepted. We have limited space in each intake and process applications as soon as we receive them.
Once you have validated your application, the file will be sent to the UNIL Registrar's Office who will verify your diploma veracity and/or your diploma equivalent to a Swiss university degree.
Based on your complete application and if validated by the UNIL Matriculation Service, the Admissions Committee will then decide whether you are short-listed for an admissions interview.*
*Due to Covid 19 situation, interviews are now held online.
The final decision is based on the quality of the candidates, but also on the type of applications received for each term. Indeed, it is important for us to build the best heterogeneous class in terms of academic backgrounds, professional experiences and personalities.
Our admission process is rigorous and competitive as we want to ensure that we select the right mix of profiles for each class. Whether you come from marketing, finance or the healthcare sector, you might be the right fit for the class.

Most of our participants are self-funded or have the support of their company.
Companies are often willing to fund an MBA, as it develops individual full potential, helping employees become true leaders. MBA participants are highly valued for their contributions back in the workplace. Return on investment is immediate: participants apply their learning directly back into company operations; knowledge and skills are shared to the benefit to the whole organisation. In turn, organisations are able to retain their best talents.
Funding for WomenWomen can explore the option of a loan provided by the ‘MBA for Women Foundation’, an international organisation that provides financial support to ambitious women from Germany, Switzerland and Austria who wish to pursue an MBA at a leading business school.
In some countries, pursuing an Executive MBA allows you to reduce your taxable income. We advise you to talk with your tax advisor or national tax office regarding this possibility.
In Switzerland, the deduction of continuous education costs from your federal income tax is accepted until a maximum of CHF 12,000 per year. For cantonal income tax, please consult your resident taxation office to find out more about it.
We will provide you with all the necessary certification to help you in this process.
Foundations and loansA couple of foundations offer loans at favourable rates to support education projects.
In Switzerland, for example, you can get in touch with EDUCA SWISS or Splendit.
